To Whom It May
Concern:
This reference letter
is provided at the request of Debbie
Gray, who has asked me to serve as a reference on her behalf. It is my
understanding that Debbie is being considered by you as a Child Care Provider.
I have known Debbie
for 2 years. I first met her at Active Kidz Day Care Centre in 2008. My son,
Cameron, was in the Infant room where she was the primary educator. I
immediately noticed that Debbie was very loving and nurturing with Cameron and
her kids. She provided structure and organized activities that stimulated their
physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth. Cameron grew very attached
to Debbie and flourished under her care. Unfortunately due to financial
constraints, we had to move Cameron to a home day care environment after 6
months at Active Kidz. At the new home care, we felt that Cameron wasn’t
thriving as much as he was when he was under Debbie’s care.
Needless to say I
was thrilled when I found out that Debbie was opening her own home care. We
immediately switched Cameron when she was ready in June 2009 and have been very
happy with the decision. Cameron comes home with arts and crafts, singing songs
and counting his 1, 2, 3s in English and Spanish. She makes sure they get
plenty of physical activity indoors and outdoors, exercising both their fine
and gross motor skills. Cameron is always happy when he sees Debbie. I’ve
already asked Debbie to reserve a spot for my newborn daughter next year in May
2011.
These are some of
the great qualities and strengths that Debbie and her home day care provide:
- Debbie is a warm and caring person.
- She has good communication skills with her
kids and their parents.
- She hands out a daily update of what meals
were provided for the day and sometimes a summary of how the day went with
Cameron. She would also suggest
activities on how we can stimulate Cameron’s learning and development at home.
-
- Debbie is very responsible and has a lot of
patience.
- She would provide appropriate discipline
whenever needed.
- She is very creative as evidenced with the
arts and crafts Cameron brings home but also we see a definite growth in his
intellectual, emotional and social development.
-
Debbie is also physically in great shape as
she actively participates in numerous races and triathlons. I imagine you need
to be physically “strong” in order to be able to handle and keep up with
infants and toddlers.
In conclusion, I
would highly recommend Debbie’s Home Day Care. Your child will flourish under
Debbie’s loving care and nurturing environment.
Sincerely yours,
Emily Yeh
