Debbie’s
Bio:
I am a
mother in my forties, with three beautiful mature children. I
majored in physical education with a minor in psychology at York University.
At the
age of 33, I studied Teacher’s Aide and Child Development, realizing that helping
to develop children is a very fulfilling career. I went
back into the workforce five years ago. Since then I worked at Kids Connection
Care and Education. I was there for two years working with grades 1 and
2. I then worked at Active Kidz in the infant room for 2 years.
Philosophy:
I opened
up my home Daycare to infants and toddlers to help them develop in a loving home
environment. I believe in the concept of open ended learning, where the
child learns from their surroundings and at their own level of understanding.
The important aspect of this home daycare is that the children feel loved, secure
and respected. I believe that this is the kind of atmosphere in which a young
child can grow, feeling safe and confident.

1 Full time spot available as of May/2011.
1 Part time spot (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
